Friday, July 31, 2009 Currently Playing: Real SHINee And so i've matriculated as a CS student at NTU. Am chuffed to be allocated COM204 but the tutorial slot is so painfullllllll. Well at least I've got a lecture buddy. Mark's gonna be in most of my lecture groups and he shares my grief..the both of us will prolly not get to do any lit modules this sem. On a lighter note, OG dinner at Brotzeit tonite! Haven't seen them since FOC so i'm looking forward to it. The last two training sessions have been insane. Min insisted that we do physical training for at least 45 mins of every session. So after 3 sets of squats with gym balls, we did 3 sets of calves exercises on the bench, followed by 3 sets of intense skipping lasting a min each, then another 3 sets of double-skipping. As if those weren't enough to kill already, we did 3 sets of the plank with WEIGHTS lasting a minute each, 3 sets of crunches and 3 sets of forearm and wrist exercises with weights. Having not trained for such a long time, i could barely get into en garde position after PT for the standard fencing drills. I also suspect that i'm getting old. Ah ok enough with the whining. I'm going back to planning my time table. Fel hope u're having fun at NUS!
Saturday, July 25, 2009   And so yesterday marked the (unofficial) last day of our stint as Geog RTs. The last six months have been a fun-filled experience. Ms Leong has been a great mentor to both of us, and the other teachers like Ms Priya, Ms Steph, Ms Ng, Mdm Loh, Ms Tan and Ms Seah were so fun to be around with. 09A01 was especially sweet..they threw a surprise farewell celebration for Fel and I after school.

Saturday, July 11, 2009 Currently Playing: Desert Song Hillsong United The week's been a whirlwind of events that left me pretty much out of breath by the end of it. WKWSCI FOC was great, to say the least. No words could do justice! FSI Indiv went ok today and I finally felt the effect of camp..was completely stoned throughout the whole event. HK dominated women's sabre as always. Had dinner with Wei Wen, Amir and Sharm and headed home after that. Team event's on monday! Alrite am dog tired. Will post pictures of camp soon. HK in 5 days! G'nite!

Saturday, July 04, 2009 Currently Playing: Billie Jean Michael Jackson With camp site changing almost everyday and me having to leave camp on certain nights for training, packing for FOC (in two days) is gonna be a bitch. And while the other freshies from the various OGs are bonding over facebook, i still have no idea which OG i'm in. Just. Great. Am starting to believe that maybe attending FOC isn't such a good idea afterall. Ms Leong and Ms Jean brought Fel, Leighton and I prawn-ing last nite. Christina and a few others joined us there and it was fun! We had the rods in the water for 3 hours and caught about 46 prawns in total. BBQ-ed the prawns there after much drama from having to skew the fat and "still jumping" prawns. We headed to rail mall for coffee and kaya toast after that and by the time I got home, showered and was ready to hit the hay, it was already 5am. Was great fun nevertheless! Comtemplating getting a mac for school. Will see after HK!
