Wednesday, November 28, 2007  Currently Playing:Soul Meets Body Death Cab For Cutie I hadn't woken up feeling this good in a long time. all's good now; the girls are back from beijing, esther's back from melbourne and timon from hk. and all of them happened to touch down yesterday! Jolyn left for mission trip to thailand yesterday and i think, i think i'm missing her. nobody home to announce funny facts (or not) about fruits nuts and vegetables. Gonna make it to parkway for training with esther later. Oh yeah how ah. i haven't started revising my work proper nor to start on my holiday assignments. and the thought is bugging meeeee.. Pardon my fragmented frame of mind.

Hi cheryl i know today that God must be speaking to me through you. you cleared many of the doubts i had in barely twenty minutes and renewed my faith in Christ. although i hadn't told you this for some time already, i think you're an awesome cell leader. thank you for everything! and to my bestest friend ever, I miss you mic! let's hang out soon, okay? --- Been lazing around for the entire week. Not productive at all. But at least the girls are coming home soon, right?

Saturday, November 17, 2007 Back from Taipei since yesterday. It’s the best trip I’ve had, to say the least. Made great friends with the senior national epee fencers; people like Ann Melbye, Nick Fang, Wei wen, Samson, Dennis, Qinghui, Nan see and Magdalene, not forgetting the epee coaches Zhao and the Russian (i can never remember his name). The epee guys are giants. The first time we met them in Taipei they were towering above Esther, Sharm and I. Most of them are at least 1.8m but they’re really just BFGs. They brought us around and took really good care of us especially Nick, Ann, WW and Sam. Our hotel’s situated about a 5 mins walk away from ximending, which is supposedly like the Orchard Road of Taipei, so it was convenient for us to go for meals there or to yay shop. Oh speaking of convenience, there must be like a million 7-11 outlets in Taipei. Seriously. Esther bought 50 bowls of maggi mee from there; Sharm bought about 18. Yes Taipei’s maggi mee is that good so I bought 4. Only. Didn’t perform well for the individual competition, but fared marginally better for team event. It was good experience nevertheless. Not an excuse for us not winning okay. I wish I could add some pretty pictures from Taipei here, but unfortunately the pictures aren’t with me. Make do with these few.       Please forgive the silly hair. Will upload more pictures when I get my hands on them. Meanwhile, I'm missing Taipei so bad.
Sunday, November 11, 2007  Currently Playing:Ordinary Angels Frente! 2 more hours before dad fetches me to the airport. Went down to clementi for fie and taipei briefing yesterday, and to collect our track suits at the same time. had lunch with nelicia and sharmaine, and esther met sharm and i after. we totally missed the whole of fie briefing cos it concerns the SEA games fencers mainly and we're only newbies. Took a bus down with esther for parkway training. min jiao lian gave me a full hour of individual training with him while yi long took the rest. it was good training of course, but he had to correct me after each move and i'm feeling like i'm too lousy to fence taipei open. oh well. fenced a couple of people before i left with minmin and yi long. they were both very encouraging about the taipei trip, especially minmin, and told me some things to note like safety first everything else comes after and blah blah. and he helped me to check my equipments and blade angle. super nice okay i'll miss coach very much. he's the best best best best coach ever! Dad has been really nice to me these days too. like what esther, sharm and i were discussing yesterday, i'm sure all our parents will miss us. whether they admit it of not. their little actions show a lot. so thank you daddy! Crystal and ethel i'm sure to miss you two! i'd probably not meet you till you return from beijing. well, have lots of fun there okay take care! To everyone else, God bless! Bye!

You should watch him in the movie oh my goodness.Pardon this rather unflattering picture of him but don't you think he looks remotely like our favourite literature teacher?
Anyway i can't believe taipei's in 2 days'. i'm not done packing and i've plans lined up for tomorrow like briefing and training and dinner. How now brown cow.
Wednesday, November 07, 2007  Currently Playing:Radio Song Superbus An uber rocking track. Back from training. it was almost the most unproductive session i've ever had with minmin till he gave esther and i extra training time and taught us about observation. so it wasn't too bad afterall. went for dinner with esther and him, and i took a bus home with him. minmin's the bestest coach i swear. every single one of his student respects him. like, every single one. if it weren't for him, i doubt i'd still be fencing. Anyway, i bought new adidas fencing shoes finally. it was horrible having to fence in sneakers. in-grown toenails, blisters and what not. the shoes actually don't look too bad with the school uniform so maybe i'll wear it to school on some days. I hate my hair so much. random i know. but it's really so ugly it makes me mad.
Tuesday, November 06, 2007  Currently Playing:Stronger Kanye West I had been returning home late for the last 3 nights consecutively and i'm feeling really tired today. ethel and crystal are out today again i don't know how they manage it. i had a lot of fun on crystal's birthday! we ate and ate and ate a lot. had xiaolongbaos and beef ramen at imperial treasure before having dessert at our secret cafe. shared a creme brule with lissa while sipping mango strawberry tea. heavenly la! and the other 5 girls looked very pretty that night. especially the birthday girl. anyway we went to east coast for a class bbq yesterday. i bladed while the others cycled and we went from one end to the other end of east coast. so much so that i developed hives on my legs. it's better now already but still hasn't gone away completely. ugh. Can't believe i'm leaving for taipei in 5 days. and i've yet to pack. seriously.

Thursday, November 01, 2007 Hi everyone! I'm officially done with project work. op went rather okay today. PJ002, real nice working with you people. we never had much of a dispute except for some rare occasions, which of course, is inevitable. and i'm glad we had always managed our differences within our pw sessions. outside pw, we're all still good friends. anyway we must be the only few people crazy about our groundbreaker. (think: ethel and her Audrey Hepburn portrait, my msn display and phone wallpaper etc) despite what others might have said, we got through it all. go, Audrey Hepburn! Final op rehearsal at ethel's yesterday. she was bringing zidane out in a bag to see a vet after our rehearsal and boy, he was soooo excited! he kept wanting to jump up the table to reach the bag and tried to wriggle his head into the tiny opening. so so adorable.  see, after ethel helped zidane into the bag. :D I've finally decided on this pair of white and black adidas fencing shoes. reserved it with sylvester after training yesterday and i'll be getting it next wednesday. btw training was good yesterday. minmin paired jingxiao and me up for private training with him and he taught us timing tempo and all that. Okay, i'll get back to my online shopping. Love!
