Thursday, May 31, 2007 Fencing competition at United Square today. Both mark and i lost the finals 15-14, and have to settle for a silver each. DAMNITTTTTTT. I don't remember fighting so hard to get into the finals for the past 3 years. Only till today.. so yes you bet, i hid in a corner and cried after that last bout which i thought i shouldn't have lost (pardon me) since i was leading 14-11. Oh and my blade of 4 years which, because of its worn-out handles, terribly scratched guard and rusty blade, brings back fond memories of me training so hard before, is now bent out of shape. I was insistent not to get a new one initially, but oh well, it probably won't last another bout or two. Dad will get me a new sabre, i hope? Mark's my best sabre teammate. Always encouraging, always supportive. We've both gotten Adidas Team Socks today! Gala sabre champs, set? xD Now mark has to remind me how badly he wanted the gold. And i'm getting all teary again. Fuck.
